Do not include client personal data in queries. This includes borrower names, addresses, national insurance numbers, dates of birth, or any other identifying information.
What We Collect
Account information provided at registration: name, email address, FCA number, and company name. Regulatory information obtained from the FCA Register to verify your firm's authorisation status. Query data: the queries you submit, lender selections, and timestamps. Security data: IP address, browser information, and login times, collected during authentication for fraud prevention and platform integrity.
Lawful Basis
Account data and query processing: legitimate interests in providing the service and verifying eligibility. Security data (IP address, browser information): legitimate interests in fraud prevention and maintaining platform integrity. Query data for product improvement and lender reporting: legitimate interests in improving service accuracy.
How Queries Are Processed
Query text is processed using third-party infrastructure providers to generate responses. No personal identifiers are included in these transmissions. Your query text and the generated response are stored by Latimont for audit, service delivery, and product improvement.
Data Sharing
Query data may be shared with lenders in aggregated or anonymised form to improve criteria clarity. When shared, queries are stripped of direct identifiers. Your name, email, and firm identity are not disclosed.
International Transfers
Some data processing occurs through infrastructure providers located outside the United Kingdom. Persistent data (account information, query logs) is stored within the United Kingdom. Appropriate safeguards govern international transfers.
Third-Party Services
Criteria uses third-party services for query processing, authentication, regulatory verification, and font delivery. No analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.
Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and operational purposes. Query data is retained for audit, product improvement, and lender reporting. Security logs are retained for platform integrity.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact support@latimont.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Automated Processing
FCA Register verification is performed automatically at signup to confirm your firm's authorisation status. Query screening uses automated systems to classify and validate queries before processing. No automated decisions are made that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
